Sims 3 written review
I remeber when I was at Best Buy franticly browesing Mac and PC games. I saw a copy of the Sims 3 collectors edition on a half off sale. I noticed it was compatible for Mac, PC and Windows. I bought it, brought it home, unboxed for my youtube channel and played it. This is what I thought.
Graphics: The Sims 3 has primitive graphics, although the amount of customization for homes, towns and people makes up for it. Sims 3 is not terrible. Compared to other computer games, it is actually quite good. I wasn’t dissapointed nor was I impressed.
Gameplay: This is the highlight of Sims 3. I have played about 5 hours and it is only getting better and better. I love building homes and making families. I just have so much fun with this game. I did think of some things that could be good for a Sims 3 DLC or sequal. I think it would be cool to give your sim a religon, give your Sim a job (during the customization of Sims), furnishing homes during building (adding furniture in homes) and building town from ground up. But no doubt, Sims 3 has countless hours of gameplay! My favorite part of the game is building a home and furnishing it, there is a variety of furniture and other household objects like art, appliences, lighting, entertaiment systems, etc. The more expensive the item, the more the house will be worth. Althoug you aren’t limited to what you can afford to build and furnish, you don’t pay a cent until you make a family and put them in the house. You can also make community items like renstraunts, parks, stores, cementarys, army bases and more. Some community items like park benches, guard towers, large and expensive art, public cooking areas, swing sets, play structures and more to a home. You can chose an untaken lot while playing the edit town mode and choose the purpose, community item or home. This was my favorite part of the Sims 3!
Sound: The characters speak in an indecypherable language so voice acting is hard to credit or vote down. But there is always some peacefull music playing in the backround. Although, that’s about it, but this is a game that thrives on fun gameplay.
Plot: Sims 3 has no plot, it is simply were you great people and places. Although this lack of plot and atmosphere is made up for by the gameplay.
Overall: Sims 3 is an amazing game, it plays like no other game. Being able to build and furnish homes is incredibly fun. But if I had to compare it with something I would compare it with Tropico 3. But this game is much better. I defintley recommend the Sims 3, especially the collectors edition. It is on Mac, Windows and PC.
